10 Frame Practice - I thought this was going to be pretty easy for my kiddos, but it turned out to be very difficult. We will need to keep working on this. I gave each child a mat with 2 10 frames and a small cup of M & M's. I held up a number and they represented it on their mat. Even though it was tricky, they loved it...it involved candy.
My art docent did this owl tear art.
Dissecting owl pellets. First we watched a YouTube video of an owl spitting out an owl pellet and then I found a video with an owl pellet song.

We made pumpkin pancakes. They were a huge hit!
Sight word blocks learning tub - I wrote sight words on blocks, students have to read the word before they build. Once they are done, there are some finger puppets they can use with their castle. This is a big hit in my room.
Sight word Candyland - I put sight word stickers on the cards.
Owl number order
These are the stands I made for learning tubs that needed clotheslines. I took a coffee can, spray painted it, filled it with Plaster of Paris and set a PVC pipe in it to set.
Beginning sounds food matching
Our gingerbread TLC - it's been adapted a bit. I use a gingerbread die cut instead of making one.
Upper/lower matching
In/Out sight word activity - students read the words and try to drop it in the tennis ball can (it's covered with a sock to make it more festive). The words that went in are recorded in the IN spot and the words that fell out are recorded in the OUT spot.
